Hi [name of client],
Thank you for the kind words in your email. It's humbling to hear sentiments like those. Glad I
was able to provide some clarity.
Based on our discussion today, the objective, as I understand it, is to position [name of company] as the "go to" leader in providing extraordinary value in an industry that seems determined to stay stuck in the past.
This "Go Forward" approach will be centered around lifting the veil of mystery that continues to shroud the platform and help businesses understand the "new" opportunities that are emerging - opportunities that can boost profits considerably for an investment that is pretty much self-liquidating.
Here's how I see my role:
- Write sales copy for your website where needed, email marketing follow up campaigns, special reports, press releases, articles.
- Leverage my sales skills wherever/whenever possible to assist [name of company] sales efforts.
- In future, helping your sales team learn how to lead prospects through your
sales funnel in a professional way.
- Also, I see an opportunity possibly to include some kind of web content component that complements [name of company] effort so that the your clients are positioned to convert the increase in traffic to their site.
The Value I Can Offer
Define [name of company] Core Message As discussed, your prospects are not interested in your services. They are interested in how those services can help make their businesses more profitable and their lives more enjoyable. We will work together to identify the true value [name of company] delivers and have it as the foundation for all your marketing. As we
discussed, our job as marketers is to sell hope. Our customers hope we can solve their problem. Our job is to show them how we do it in a clear and convincing manner.
Enhance your existing sales and marketing efforts by providing copywriting services that combine timeless sales and marketing structures, strategies and tactics
with today's cost-effective technology so your selling message can be delivered in an effective and compelling way.
Create A Compelling Multi-Use Sales Lead Magnet [name of company] is already enjoying a steady monthly stream of qualified web visitors. We need to capture as many of these prospects as we can and put them into a
marketing system designed to convert qualified prospects into profitable clients.
My recommendation would be to create and offer a free report that allows you to build the important "know, like and trust" factor with those who may not be ready to buy from you yet but, who could be quite agreeable to requesting a special report with a view
that it could help them make an educated buying decision. This way, you have a chance to continue the marketing relationship. This also gives you a compelling call to action.
Many companies fail to include a call to action leaving the visitor to figure out what they're expected to do. In most cases, they do nothing. The report offer gives
you a chance to increase your email list with additional qualified prospects who may not be quite as far along in their buying process. Eg. You keep them "warm" in a meaningful way that is mutually beneficial.
The report can also be used by the sales people in their outbound or follow up telephone sales efforts. Eg. "Hi Ms. Customer, I'm
following up from [name of company]. Not too long ago you contacted us for information. We thought you might be interested in receiving a free report we just created to help people like you feel confident about making a prudent buying decision when it comes to whether or not television advertising is something they should consider. It's called "The Hidden Costs of TV Advertising: 3 Insider Secrets The Industry Is Hoping You Won't Find Out About." {this is just a sample title} Would
you like me to email you a copy?"
If someone says yes, [name of company] has an opt-in opportunity to move them further along in the selling process by adding them to its email marketing list.
Create/Implement Lead Nurturing and Customer Attraction Strategy Currently, [name of company] is using an outbound sales approach with a sketchy follow up process. A focused email marketing "drip" campaign will allow [name of company] to nurture new sales lead opportunities and keep additional selling opportunities "warm" so that you are top of mind when they finally decide to make a buying decision. Not only does this lower the cost of sales, it also supports the efforts
of the sales team.
Create Direct Mail One-Two Punch This would consist of two components - a brochure that sets out [name of company] new compelling sales message along with the story about how it "has its client's back" throughout the entire process ensuring continuity.
The second piece would be a direct response sales letter I would write. A sales letter helps prompt action and/or pave the way for a follow up call from the sales team. This would be a 2-4 page letter that would clearly present the [name of company] competitive advantages. In addition, the P.S. in the letter (the PS is the second most read part!) would reference the availability of the free
report "The Hidden Costs of TV Advertising: 3 Insider Secrets The Industry Is Hoping You Won't Find Out About."
The above components give you a complete marketing system that attracts attention, develops interest, converts that interest into action and gives you tools to keep prospects warm until they are ready to buy.
For my fee, I will:
- Spend time with you/team to learn more about your company.
- Read all current company brochures, web copy, direct mail, and other relevant materials including industry reports, studies, trade magazine articles, statistical tracking
reports etc.
- Meet with staff - especially the sales people - to hear their thoughts on what market conditions are like and see what THEY feel they need to help in their selling efforts. (optional - your call)
- Gain insights into the current market environment so we can tailor our marketing efforts to meet the needs of prospects.
- Talk to current/past customers to better understand what they feel are the key benefits they received from their [name of company]
experience. Very important and often overlooked. Feedback can help us create laser like focus on our selling message.
- Review competitive/like-minded web sites/initiatives so we know how the competition is positioning itself.
- Submit rough drafts of all content I write for review and approval.
- Create report concepts and titles and submit for review.
- Deliver finished copy to you for approval.
- Provide you with the benefit of my experience wherever I
can.
My fees for the various components of this project are:
- Web site Content
Home
Page...............................................................$950.00
This includes response generating ideas, marketing strategies and the copy.
The home page is the most important page. If it doesn't attract the attention of the reader and keep their interest,
everything you've done to get the person to your site is wasted.
Addt'l Pages............................................................$300.00/per page
I'm estimating about a 10-12-page
web site including the home page. We need to expand the content on services so we can help the reader understand the value [name of company] offers.
Total website estimate........................$3,650.00 - $4,250.00
2. Special Report
Write original 4-6 page Free Report eg. "The Hidden Costs of TV Advertising: 3 Insider Secrets The Industry Is Hoping You Won't Find Out About."
.....$1,950.00....
Or rework something you have ..................... ......$950.00
3. Email marketing follow up/nurturing campaign
Develop/write content for a 6-7 message email marketing follow-up campaign. I would help set this up and show you/sales team how to work it.
.........................................$2,450/campaign
4. Sales letter
Create a 2 - 4 page sales letter that uses a proven response-generating formula. The letter would tap into the reader's emotions and support his/her emotional decision with logic and a call to action............$1,250.00
5. 4-Page
Brochure
Write a brochure that can be handed out/sent out to those requesting information. A lot of people still like a printed piece they can file, write on, keep handy. (I still prefer to print stuff off the internet so I can review it as opposed to looking at it online.)
..........$350.00/page
50% of the fee is payable in advance with the remainder payable upon successful completion of the project(s).
Applicable taxes are not included in the above fees.
Thank you for the opportunity to present this action plan.
I am confident I can help you attract profitable new customers. I will work hard to ensure you are completely satisfied with your investment in my services.

Gerry is a smooth
operator with copywriting. It is so hard to find a writer who understands affiliate and digital marketing, so having Gerry's experience in the field made my life so much easier. He goes above and beyond to take care of me to make sure his work pays for itself.

Hi...me again....
Couple of things to note...this was a proposal that resulted in a $13,000 project.
Notice how I broke up the project components at the end. That allows my client to decide what they want to start with. Some clients want to dive right in. Others go step-by-step. But the main thing is, the proposal helps them understand what's going on.
If you help your prospect "see" what's involved along with the value they get, they will view you not only as a professional but as someone who is interested in truly helping them.
You'll close more opportunities and put smiles on more faces.
